I have degrees in food science and culinary arts and built an extensive career in food media. After serving as Brand Director for renowned digital food publication, Tasting Table, I left my 9 to 5 to launch The Runaway. The first outpost, The Runaway Jamaica, was the first successfully crowdfunded bed & breakfast in the world. We quickly became a go-to destination for millennial travelers and expanded to Cuba, Bali, Morocco, and New York.

I'm turning the Jamaican recipes I developed while executive chef-ing at our B&B into a multi-platform cookbook. I'll share my progressive take on classic Jamaican flavors while highlighting uncommon ingredients and celebrating the delicious food of my heritage.

Think: sweet plantain pancakes with spiced maple caramel, stout-braised oxtail ragù over garlic mashed breadfruit, plus cocktails and countless desserts!

I'm bringing my recipes, travels, and tips to life with a food video series like no other. Since launching The Runaway, we've focused on the hyperlocal, sustainable and delicious. I'm ecstatic to finally be able to share all of our incredible experiences with a wider audience, beyond the intimate groups we've hosted.

Tune in for quirky videos, in depth tutorials, myth-busting expeditions, culturally-rich experiences, and of course lots of drool worthy eats.
There are few better ways to experience a culture than through its food and I have an insatiable appetite for it. Follow me as I return to some of our favorite places in the world, road trip across the US, and experience the most delicious culinary adventures.

Where's the next stop? Morocco! I'll be trekking through olive fields, collecting mountain herbs for Berber tea, and preparing traditional tagines and classic breads. Not to mention shopping for spices in the souks, sampling street foods, and dining under the desert stars.
